Wade Took the Night Off, So Steve Is Writing This One

Hi everybody, Steve here again. Wade is taking the night off from working on the blog for his birthday, so I’m going to step in and push the buttons while he parties AKA eats his birthday treats.

Dad’s services will be on the morning of Monday, October 20, 2025 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. The address is 2766 Navajo Road, El Cajon, CA 92020.

The viewing will open at 10:00 am.

A Rosary prayer service will begin at 10:30 am, led by his mother’s prayer group. Assuming Amazon doesn’t take it’s sweet time with delivery, there will be a supply of rosaries available for anybody that doesn’t have or forgets to bring one.

The Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 am with readings and songs that he specifically chose before he passed. Each one is either among his personal favorites or very meaningful to him.

A reception and light lunch will follow in the Parish Center located behind the church.

Anyone is welcome to come to celebrate this moment with us and take the opportunity to see him for your own chance to say goodbye. We of course are aware that a Monday morning is not the most helpful time for many people to get out of work or school or various other responsibilities, so if you are reading this and can’t make it please do not feel bad or like you have to apologize. We are trying to give as much notice as possible so that anybody that wants to be there can have time to make those arrangements if necessary.
