My Story

In the spring of 2024, I was a a middle aged man, concentrating on work and family. I exercised daily and was healthy and had a long life ahead of me (or so I thought). Suddenly, things didn’t seem right. I had very little energy and my digestion was not normal. I thought I must have a virus or something and things would get back to normal. But they didn’t.

Then things took an unexpected turn. I found out I had cancer. Things were very touch and go for the first few months. I spent time in the hospital. I had a number of procedures just to keep me going. Chemo and radiation were my future.

In those lonely nights in the hospital I realized what was important. Life wasn’t all about accomplishments in the gym or accolades at work. Those will pass and be forgotten. I realized that what is important is faith and family.

I also realized in that time is that I had some things to say. That’s what this little blog is for.
