7/11/25-“Oh Thank Heaven for 7-11”

Happy 7-11 Day. This is one of the days I always think of my Dad. He started working at 7-11 shortly after leaving the Navy and never stopped until the day he died. I would venture to say, even now, nearly 25 years after his passing, his influence as one of the trainers for nearly every new franchisee can still be found in some form to this day.
He was so ingrained in 7-11 for his adult life that I am unable to think of one without being reminded of the other. If you needed directions to anywhere he would always give them in relation to 7-11 stores.
“…Go to this 7-11 and turn right until you pass 2 more 7-11’s than turn left…”
One of the first things I see every morning is one of the old 7-11 clocks on the wall in my house. It reminds me of how much pride he took in his time at 7-11.
So celebrate today with a Slurpee-I think he’d like that.
